The Naval Intelligence Essay Contest is open to anyone interested in naval intelligence. You must write a 3,500 word essay on any subject pertaining to naval intelligence or intelligence support to naval or maritime forces to be eligible for this award. The winner will have their essay published in Proceedings magazine and win a $1,000 prize, five-year membership in the Naval Intelligence Professionals, one to three Naval Institute Press books, and a one-year membership in the Naval Institute.

The LIFE Lessons Essay Contest is available to legal resident of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are between 17 and 24 years of age and have experienced the death of a parent or legal guardian.
