The ThanksUSA Scholarship is available to dependent children (age of 24 and under) and spouses of active-duty U.S. military service personnel. Description The League of World War I Aviation Historians sponsors an annual Call for Student Papers. These papers can be on any subject, as long as it relates in one form or another to the subject of aviation during the 1914-1918 time frame.

Entries are to be at least 10 double-spaced pages in length (not including bibliography) and must me cleanly and clearly typed (i.e., no hand written entries or faint dot matrix printed entires). The format of the entry should be in that required by the academic institution in which the student is enrolled. It is encouraged that entries be submitted in both hard form and on disk. All entries will be judged by a panel of members of the League who are knowledgeable in the subject of the entry. Prizes of $250 for first place and $100 for each of five Honorable Mention entries will be awarded. The League reserves the right, but not the obligation, of publishing winning entires in its "Over the Front" Journal.

The American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE) Scholarship Program is open to seniors and graduate students who are majoring/concentrating in the following areas: marine, mechanical, civil, aeronautical, electrical and electronic engineering, naval architecture or the physical sciences. The Naval Intelligence Essay Contest is open to anyone interested in naval intelligence. You must write a 3,500 word essay on any subject pertaining to naval intelligence or intelligence support to naval or maritime forces to be eligible for this award. The winner will have their essay published in Proceedings magazine and win a $1,000 prize, five-year membership in the Naval Intelligence Professionals, one to three Naval Institute Press books, and a one-year membership in the Naval Institute.

Description
The CSM Virgil R. Williams Scholarship is available to members of the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS) and the unmarried children and spouses of EANGUS members. The General Henry H. The LIFE Lessons Essay Contest is available to legal resident of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are between 17 and 24 years of age and have experienced the death of a parent or legal guardian. Description
The Dolphin Scholarship is open to children/stepchildren of members or former members of the Submarine Force who served for at least eight years. You are also eligible if your parent/stepparent served the Navy in submarine support activities for a minimum of 10 years. Qualifying time must have been served on active duty. There is no minimum period of service for children of personnel who died on active duty while in the Submarine Force. To be considered for this award, you must be unmarried, under the age of 24 at the time of application and be enrolled or planning to enroll at an accredited, four-year college or university. Your application will be evaluated on the basis of your scholastic proficiency, non-scholastic activities, character, all-around ability and financial need. The award is renewable provided certain criteria are maintained.
