Purpose of award: To recognize outstanding Boy Scouts and support the common bonds between the Boy Scouts of America and the VFW: belief in God, respect for others, honesty and patriotism.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be nominated as the top Scout by a VFW organization.
Target applicant: Junior high students or younger
High school students
Minimum GPA: None
Amount: $1,000-$5,000.
Number of awards: 3.
Deadline: March 1.
