Purpose of award: To honor the Rev. Jesse Jackson by giving a scholarship to those SEIU members and their children who exemplify his values in the pursuit of social justice.
Eligibility requirements: Applicants must be members or the children of members of the SEIU in good standing for at least one year and must be enrolled in an accredited two- or four-year college or university. The scholarship is for undergraduate work only.

Amount: $5,000.
Number of awards: 1. Scholarship may be renewable.
